Host | Hostess

Brugada Kitchen & Bar is a modern American restaurant and cocktail bar one block off Broadway in downtown Nashville. We run dinner Tuesday through Sunday, weekend brunch, late-night service on Fridays and Saturdays, and a steady private-events program. We are looking for a Host who brings genuine warmth and steady composure to a busy downtown room every shift.

• Greet and seat guests, managing the flow of the dining room in step with servers and the floor manager.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations in Tableloop, keeping wait times accurate and guests informed.
• Answer the phone and respond to reservation inquiries with courtesy and efficiency.
• Coordinate table turns and covers with the floor manager to keep service running smoothly.
• Support the private-events and large-party business by confirming reservations and communicating group needs to the floor team.
• Maintain the host stand and entrance area throughout the shift.
• Communicate any guest concerns or special requests to the appropriate team member promptly.

• Prior experience as a host, hostess, or front-desk professional in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
• Availability to work nights and weekends, including Friday and Saturday late-night shifts, is required.
• Comfort managing a high-volume waitlist and multiple incoming requests at the same time.
• Clear, professional communication with guests and team members.
• Experience with a reservation or waitlist platform (Tableloop experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus.

This role requires availability on nights and weekends. Friday and Saturday shifts extend into late night (Saturday close is 2:30 a.m.). Weekday dinner shifts begin in the late afternoon; weekend brunch shifts begin at 10:00 a.m.
